Dr Lotte Latukefu is Head of Performing Arts at Excelsia College in Sydney. Prior to that she lectured in the Faculty of Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong for 18 years. Lotte has premiered, nationally and internationally, eleven new Australian compositions in collaboration with composers and internationally recognised virtuosic chamber music performers. She is known, internationally, as a researcher within the field of Higher Music Education and has made a major contribution to this field in the area of alternative teaching pedagogies. Later this year Lotte will perform Elgar’s Sea Pictures with the Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra.
