The Willoughby Symphony Choir, one of Australia’s finest community choirs, was formed in 1973 and joined with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra in the same year to become the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Since its inception, the Choir has always been sponsored by the Willoughby City Council.

 The Choir performs concerts with the Orchestra but also performs its own eparate concerts and takes part in a variety of community events. It has performed in many of the major Sydney venues as well as in major regional areas.

 The Willoughby Symphony Choir has performed many of the great choral works and has recently performed Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in the Concourse in Chatswood.

Sadaharu Muramatsu is the current Musical Director of the Choir.
