Last Night of the Proms

Saturday 28 November & 29 November 2025 at Strathfield Town Hall

This one needs no introduction! You will laugh, cry and clap along. Guaranteed to sell out, secure your seats early by being a valued subscriber.

Program Highlights:

  • Copeland – Rodeo Hoedown: the exhilarating finale of the ballet Rodeo, is an iconic portrait of the American West. It uses driving rhythms and lively folk tunes, like “Bonaparte’s Retreat,” blending the energy of a country square dance with sophisticated orchestral flair.
  • Vaughan Williams – Symphony No.2: a rich, atmospheric portrait of the city. It evokes the sound of the Westminster Chimes, the bustle of street markets, and the melancholic fog on the Thames, blending sweeping English melody with evocative, often turbulent, modernism.
  • Brahms – Hungarian Dance No 5 : one of the most famous and passionate of Brahms’s folk-inspired dances. It is characterized by its fiery tempo changes (rubato) and irresistible gypsy flair, making it a thrilling, high-energy miniature.
  • Elgar – Pomp & Circumstance – no proms concert would be complete without the classic!
  • and much more……
