Fourteen-year-old Estelle Gilmovich is a versatile performer whose musical journey is defined by a passion for the stage. Estelle has completed her Amus-A and L-Mus-A on viola and is currently preparing for her Associate Diploma for Trinity College London. Estelle also plays the violin, piano, double-bass, and trumpet. Her creative talents also extend to composition; in early 2026, she was awarded first place in the 2MBS Fine Music Class Act competition for her original work, Valse des Petites Étoiles.
Beyond her instrumental studies, Estelle is a familiar face in the Australian vocal and theatrical scene. She has performed with Opera Australia in productions including La Bohème, The Magic Flute, Tosca and Carmen in 2025. In 2025, Estelle also narrated Benjamin Britten’s “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra” at Parramatta’s Riverside theatre with the Metropolitan Orchestra.
Her musical experience is anchored by her involvement with the Gondwana Choirs, Sydney Youth orchestras, Australian Youth Orchestra’s Young Symphonists program, the Australian Chamber Orchestra Academy, Penrith Youth Orchestra, Melbourne Youth Orchestra, The Sydney Symphony Young Musicians Workshop , The Metropolitan Orchestra, and her ofcourse her school, Santa Sabina College.
Estelle balances her rigorous performance schedule with a love for languages and interests in science, technology and public speaking. Estelle is a frequent prize winner at various eisteddfods and academic tournaments such as the Rostrum Voices of Youth and the Da Vinci Decathlon.
Estelle learns viola from Anne-Louise comeford and proudly plays on an Australian made viola, made by Harry Vatilioutis.
Estelle continually seeks new ways to collaborate and share her love of music with the community and is excited for her upcoming performance of Harold in Italy with the Strathfield Symphony Orchestra.
